What is home staging?
Home staging is the process of neutralizing, de-cluttering and de-personalizing a home so it becomes a product that will appeal to the most number of Buyers possible. It is a powerful marketing tool that elevates a property by highlighting the features of the home and presents the lifestyle that allows Prospective Buyers to see themselves living there.

I'm on a budget, what rooms should I focus on the most?
The main living spaces are the most important when staging your home on a budget. These would include the living room, dining room, kitchen, family room and master bedroom and bath. Prospective Buyers want to be able to envision themselves in these spaces so it’s critical that they can see how it would feel to live in these rooms.

Does home staging affect the sales price?
Home staging definitely affects the sales price! Staging not only increases the sales price but also decreases time spent on the market. National statistics show that 88% of staged properties sold at or above list price and the average days on market for a staged property is 10 days vs. 84 days for a non-staged property.
In addition, 83% of Real Estate Agents say that staging makes it easier for buyers to visualize the property as their future home. The investment in staging is almost always less than a price reduction!

How far in advance should I plan to stage my home for sale?
We recommend planning for 2 weeks for staging before the house goes on the market. The Stager will need to preview the property, write a proposal that is agreed upon with the owner, make selections of inventory, and then schedule the delivery and staging. After staging, there will need to be time for the photographer to take pictures and edit them before the house is listed.
-
My home is small, is it worth staging?
The answer is yes! Small houses are some of the most critical properties to stage and photograph appropriately. Staging professionals know how to choose the right size furniture, artwork, and décor that will prevent a smaller home from looking cramped.

Will my home sell for more?
Absolutely! By staging a home and making sure every room shows as optimally as possible, both online and in person, a Seller can expect to receive an offer for the highest price the market will bear. Even in a hot seller’s market, staged homes often end up in multiple offers that are $5,000-$10,000 higher than asking price!
